After bringing a championship to Northeast Ohio, LeBron James is going to enjoy the rest of his summer and will not play for Team USA in this summer's Olympics in Rio. James was reportedly leaning towards not playing and his agent confirmed that on Thursday:

This is not that shocking as James just played in his sixth straight Finals and he usually uses the offseason for rest and recuperation. Plus, James has already played in three Olympics and has won two gold medals so he doesn't really have anything to prove internationally.

James is not alone in opting out of the Olympics. Like LeBron, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Chris Paul and Kawhi Leonard have all said they will not participate. But despite these superstars bowing out, Team USA should be just fine with Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony leading them.
