Report: Portland agrees to two-year deal with shooter Dorell Wright
Dorell Wright agrees to two-year deal with Portland Trail Blazers.
Wright had been a quietly hot-pursued free agent thanks to his size (6 feet 7), age (27) and shooting ability (37 percent from the arc last year, career 36 percent). The Thunder, among other teams, were focused on trying to land him but apparently the seemingly low bid of the Blazers won out.
Wright joins a revamped Blazers team that seems primed to make serious strides with its awful bench from last season. C.J. McCollum and Robin Lopez are among those added along with Wright as GM Neil Olshey's immediate plan is clearly to try to make a run now instead of rebuilding.
