Rockets' Jeremy Lin to play Monday against Mavs, James Harden out

The Houston Rockets are currently without Patrick Beverley and James Harden, their starting backcourt for 19 of their 28 games so far this season. Beverley is out for roughly a month with a broken hand he suffered Saturday night. Harden is battling a sprained ankle that will keep him out of Monday's game against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Rockets will at least have the services of point guard Jeremy Lin. Lin is returning from missing four straight games with back spasms and has only played in 10 of their previous 12 games.

He's is averaging 14.3 points and 4.2 assists in just 28.8 minutes in his 18 games this season. He's started eight of those games and is shooting career bests with 48.8 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from 3-point range.
