Kevin Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors this summer effectively ended the once brotherly relationship he had for years with Russell Westbrook. Durant swears that he is still "cool" with Westbrook, yet the Thunder All-Star guard hasn't really spoke warmly about his former teammate.

Durant though is trying to keep thing amicable. He talked highly of Westbrook on a recent appearance on HBO's Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons and expressed yet again how hard it was to tell the Thunder guard about his decision to leave Oklahoma City. But while Durant is openly talking about his relationship with his former teammate, according to Westbrook, the two have still not talked this summer.

Durant did reach out via text message to Westbrook but considering the strong relationship they once had, a non-verbal message is a pretty clear sign of how strained the two are these days. Time heals all wounds though, so perhaps one day Westbrook and Durant will be buddy-buddy again. But let's not hold our breath for that to happen.
