For helping Michael Jordan and the Bulls win six titles, Scottie Pippen is a revered figure in Chicago. Pippen is so beloved in Chicago that the city's denizens can even look past his butchering of Take Me Out to the Ball Game at Game 6 of the National League Championship Series between the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday.

Pippen was actually quite excited to sing during the game's seventh-inning stretch, tweeting out a picture in excitement:

But when he took the mic, Pippen apparently had no idea what he was supposed to sing.

Look, Pippen is a former basketball player and not a singer, so perhaps his failure to carry a tune or even know the words can be forgiven. Pippen also could've just been excited by the prospect of the Cubs heading to the World Series for the first time since 1945 and forgot the words to the song. Either way, don't expect Pippen to make an encore performance during the World Series. Some disasters, no matter how amusing, should just never be repeated.
