Stephen Curry sits out practice, plans to play Game 3 on Friday
Stephen Curry told reporters that if Game 3 between the Warriors and Nuggets was Thursday night, he wouldn't be able to play. After sitting out practice, he plans to play on Friday night in Oakland.
Good thing for the Warriors that Game 3 isn't Thursday night. It's Friday.
Via the San Francisco Chronicle, Curry did say he's confident he'll be ready to go Friday.
In the third quarter of Game 2, Curry rolled his left ankle and was forced to exit the game. He came back in and finished it out, a 131-117 Warriors win to even the series at 1-1.
Curry's ankles have been problematic since he was drafted, although it's actually his right one that has been the most trouble. He had surgery on the right ankle last summer, but this time, it was the left that rolled over.
Obviously, Curry's ability to play, and not just that, but play like himself, is completely instrumental for the Warriors. In Game 2's shooting gallery, Curry had 30 points and 13 assists, and was a major problem for the Nuggets.
The series is tied 1-1.
