Steve Nash 'doubtful' for Lakers' Friday game vs. Clippers
The Lakers' Steve Nash injured his leg Wednesday against the Trail Blazers, leaving early in the third quarter. And because of it, he's listed as doubtful for Friday's showdown with the Clippers.
Two games in and the Lakers are already having to face their worst fear: an injury.
Depth is a big issue for the Lakers and without Nash, the Lakers will rely almost entirely on Steve Blake as their point guard. It's not likely to be a serious injury that's going to cause Nash to miss extended time, but it's not encouraging to be testing that depth so early in the season.
The Lakers are 0-2, which has sounded the alarm for a lot of people. And with a tough game against the rival Clippers, without Nash, they could be headed for an 0-3 hole.
