Steve Nash, Pau Gasol likely out for Lakers preseason opener
Mike D'Antoni says Steve Nash and Pau Gasol will likely sit the Lakers opening preseason game.
The Lakers open their preseason schedule Saturday against the Warriors and it appears they're picking up right where they left off last season.
Without about half their team.
With Kobe Bryant already out, via ESPN LA, Mike D'Antoni says both Pau Gasol and Steve Nash will likely sit as well. Don't worry, though, Lakers fans. First, it's a meaningless preseason game and second, D'Antoni says both should play Sunday against the Nuggets.
The Lakers set a horrific tone in the preseason last year going 0-8, and while preseason games count for nothing, there certainly wasn't a great feeling going into the regular season.
Just something to think about.
