Ty Lawson set to return Monday for Nuggets
Denver point guard set to return from rib injury.
As the Denver Nuggets' freefall into the lottery continues (losses in five straight and nine of their last 10), they get a lifeline Monday when point guard Ty Lawson returns to the lineup. Coach Brian Shaw told reporters Monday morning Lawson will start and will not have a minutes restriction after recovering from a rib injury.
Lawson gives them a huge bump, as the team went several weeks without a point guard after his injury, Nate Robinson's season-ending injury, and the Andre Miller situation. Aaron Brooks has been the only healthy pure point guard for the Nuggets since Lawson went down.
Lawson is averaing 18.0 points and 8.8 assists this season and shooting 43 percent for the Nuggets.
