VIDEO: Joe Johnson scores 29 in the third, matches NBA record for 3's
Nets guard goes off for 37 points, including a crazy barrage from the oustide.
Joe Johnson went nova on Monday night in the third quarter vs. the Sixers, dropping 29 points on his way to 37, including matching the record for most three-pointers in a quarter with eight.
Johnson is averaging 16 points on 43 percent shooting, but has been playing excpetionally well lately for the Nets who have now won three of four.
That stepback three to cap it off was pretty much amazing. Johnson, for all his limitations and his massive contracts, remains a player that rarely shoots you out of games and when he gets hot, can absolutely blister. Even against the lowly Sixers, this is a pretty impressive performance.
