Video: Joe Johnson's game-winner in Nets' win over the Pistons
Joe Johnson hits the step-back jumper over Tayshaun Prince to win the game for the Brooklyn Nets.
Deron Williams took the inbound pass from Joe Johnson, gave it right back to him, and Johnson sized up his defender Tayshaun Prince. Johnson drove hard to the right, freed himself with a big pullback crossover and a little off-arm action, and found himself pretty open as Prince slipped up a bit. He gathered quickly and launched the game-winning shot.
Joe on his game-winner: "When it left my hand, I knew it was going in. That’s why I kind of faded back and my trot was kind of swagged out."— Rod Boone (@rodboone) December 15, 2012
Well okay then, Joe.
The Nets won 107-105 over the Detroit Pistons, thanks to Johnson's shot which capped off a 28-point effort from him. Brooklyn also received a huge effort from Gerald Wallace (25 points, 10 rebounds).
