Video: Los Angeles Clippers' highlight reel against the Mavericks
The Los Angeles Clippers had 11 dunks in their victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Lob City. Lob Angeles. Lobville. Lobtopolis. Lobtopia. Lobsburgh.
Whatever you want to call the Los Angeles Clippers with "lob" thrown into the name was certainly apropos in their 112-90 victory over the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night. They had 11 dunks, several of them off of alley-oop plays that ignited the crowd and gave Mark Cuban (who was in attendance) one of the greatest struggle faces we've ever seen. The Mavericks had 30 points in the paint in this game; the Clippers had 22 points just off of dunks. That's domination.
From Jamal Crawford's lob to DeAndre Jordan to his lobs to Eric Bledsoe to Chris Paul threading the needle so Blake Griffin could hammer home dunks, there were enough highlights for everybody to share this holiday season. Even Matt Barnes and Ryan Hollins got a dunk in.
There are plenty of reasons to doubt the Los Angeles Clippers but this year they've combined the highlights of the last couple years with really smothering defense and opportunistic play.
