VIDEO: Marc Gasol leaves game vs. Spurs with non-contact knee injury
All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year goes down with a knee injury vs. Spurs.
Grizzlies center and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Marc Gasol left the game against the Spurs Friday night with a non-contact knee injury. The Grizzlies described it as a knee sprain and that he would not return.
Losing Gasol for any length of time would be devastating for Memphis as he is their best player on both sides of the ball on account of his passing, scoring, and playmaking ability on offense as well as superb defense in all areas.
It could just be a sprain. It could be no big deal. But if you're looking for bad signs when it comes to a knee injury, this pretty much has them all.
