VIDEO: Suns' Goran Dragic goes five hole against Steve Nash
During the Phoenix Suns' victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, Goran Dragic threads the needle through the five hole against Steve Nash for the assist.
Phoenix Suns' point guard Goran Dragic received the outlet pass on the right side of the floor, advanced the ball, and saw Jared Dudley streaking down the left side. If Jared Dudley were a high-flyer, Dragic would have thrown the lob and we would probably have had a nifty highlight.
Luckily, Dudley isn't your typical high-flying wing player. He's a bit more grounded and therefore, Goran wanted to make sure he threaded the needle with a bounce pass to guarantee the transition bucket. Los Angeles Lakers' point guard Steve Nash tried to channel his soccer skills on the play and kick the pass away, but Dragic had just enough english and angle on the pass to drop it between the legs of Nash for the layup.
Sometimes, passes like these are much more exciting than an alley-oop.
