VIDEO: Suns' Michael Beasley manages to get a one-point dunk
Phoenix Suns forward Michael Beasley spun into the lane, dunked on Washington's Nene, then picked up a technical foul to immediately give one point back during Saturday night's game.
Beasley turned a beautiful spin move, perfect footwork and balance and a great dunk on Washington Wizards big man Nene from a two-point explosion into a one-point net gain because he managed to get a taunting technical when he screamed in delight at Nene over his own dunk. Martell Webster went down to the other end of the floor and knocked down the free throw.
There's no doubt the Suns' forward has been frustrated throughout the season, so I'm sure moments like that are a release of emotions when you can take it out on the rim and an unsuspecting defender. However, it doesn't do you much good to dunk and then give back a point because of a taunting technical.
He finished the game with 21 points on 12 shots, bringing his season total to 648 points on 651 shots. He's about to eclipse the threshold of more points than shots with one more solid scoring output.
The two best point guards in the East go at it in a series sure to be filled with drama.
