Remember Linsanity? Yeah, it was pretty awesome.

It was almost a perfect storm of an underdog player rising to a star in the league's biggest market. It was like something you'd see in a movie.

Well, well. Now it is a movie. Or at least a documentary.

The film has been at the Sundance Film Festival and will make a wide release in theaters Oct. 4.

As Jeremy Lin says the the trailer, the Linsanity takeover was something unlike we've really ever seen.

"I felt like I was being controlled by something else," Lin says. "I felt I was having an out of body experience. I still have to pinch myself to really believe it."

Think about it: Lin was a non-recruited high school player that went to Harvard, didn't get drafted, bounced around teams and the D-League, and then was about to get scrapped by the Knicks. A few injuries, a floundering team and Lin got his opportunity.

The rest, as they say, is a documentary. Wait, is that how they say it?
