Watch: Andre Iguodala uses racial slur, 'master' in interview
Andre Iguodala used some controversial terms in his postgame interview on Friday night.
The Golden State Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-102 at the Target Center on Friday night, and after the game Andre Iguodala made some controversial comments in a postgame interview.
"What would a dumb N***** say," Iguodala responded to one comment. "Just play harder. Figure it out. Change is gonna come. Ain't that what we used to say? Change is gonna come."
Following the game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he was going to sit Iguodala, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green for tonight's game with the San Antonio Spurs. Apparently, he didn't tell the players that before he told the media. Iguodala was surprised when told the news.
"We takin' tomorrow off?" Iguodala said when asked by a reporter if that was previously planned. "No clue. I'm going to do what master say."
It's unclear who his "master" comment was directed toward, but he later spoke to a reporter about it.
Even if it was a joke, dropping the "N" word and using slavery terms were interesting decisions by Iguodala after the game.
