On Wednesday, the 2016 World Series champion Chicago Cubs made a second visit to the White House, and for whatever reason Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert made an appearance.

Gilbert, like any American, just wanted to take a little Wednesday stroll to the White House. He probably didn't expect that he'd get roasted by President Donald Trump in front of the entire Cubs team and a bunch of senators. Trump first talked about how Gilbert's Cavaliers came up just short of a "great season" before asking how LeBron James was doing. James and Gilbert allegedly are in a bit of a tiff after the abrupt dismissal of general manager David Griffin.

Gilbert seemed to take the jest well, although the Cubs seemed a bit confused as to what was going on. Specifically, what in the world Gilbert was even doing there. Trump asked the Cubs if they had any basketball players before commenting on the Cavaliers' season. "I guess you can't say great season, right? Good season. Last season was a great season. Right? Anyway ..."

Trump then invited Gilbert to take a photo with the team, and forced Cubs' manager Joe Maddon to ask Gilbert how he's "doing with LeBron." Gilbert took the joke in stride, although he was likely screaming internally.
