Kevin Durant appeared on HBO's Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons and discussed his decision to join the Golden State Warriors, his relationship with Russell Westbrook and more. This was not a regular interview: he was sitting next to Nas. It was great.

Shortly after the episode aired on Wednesday, HBO released a few clips.

First, Durant says it wouldn't be a normal day if he responded to writers who criticized him after he left the Oklahoma City Thunder, sounding a little jealous that Nas' profession allows him the opportunity to go into the studio and say whatever he wants:

Then, Durant said he knew that every interaction he has with Russell Westbrook from now on is going to draw attention, adding that it was tough to tell his former co-star that he was going elsewhere:

After that, Simmons compared leaving ESPN to Durant leaving the Thunder, and Durant said he'll play the same way he always does when he faces Westbrook and co. for the first time:

Then came the "speed round," where Durant delivered a succinct review of the "Chef Curry" sneakers:

Durant seemed happy to not be the sole center of attention, and he came off as genuinely at peace with the big professional decision he made in July.
