WATCH: Paul Pierce roasts Brandon Jennings for playoff performance
Jennings had previously tweeted some shade about Pierce after his final game with the Clippers
The most random NBA beef just got a little more interesting.
Earlier in the playoffs, after the Clippers were knocked out by the Utah Jazz in Game 7 of their first-round series, most of the basketball world spent the rest of the night reminiscing about Paul Pierce, who had just played his final game.
Brandon Jennings, however, was not impressed, tweeting, "1 ring don't mean you should get a farewell tour." It was an odd tweet, considering one night of discussion is not exactly a farewell tour, and Jennings has since walked it back.
Pierce, however, does not seem to be over it. Friday, Pierce was on "The Jump" on ESPN, when Rachel Nichols brought up a recent tweet of Jennings' in which he said he would be playing basketball at the courts on West 4th street in New York City.
Like he did so many times throughout his career, Pierce saw his opportunity, and delivered a dagger.
"He needs to stay there. The way he performed in the playoffs this year, he might as well just go all year round on 4th street."
As Brandon Jennings just learned, sometimes the Truth can be harsh.
