WATCH: Steph Curry carries champ's belt in Andre Ward's entourage
Stephen Curry helped to bring boxer Andre Ward to the ring Saturday night at Oracle Arena.
With the Golden State Warriors winning the NBA Finals last week, boxer Andre Ward decided that he needed some of that championship aura to rub off on him before his fight against Paul Smith on Saturday night. So he enlisted the help of Stephen Curry.
Ward is an Oakland native and with the fight happening in Oracle Arena, he got Curry to be part of his pre-fight crew. Carrying one of the boxer's championship belts and wearing a Warriors Finals hat, Curry embraced the role and led Ward's entourage to the ring.
Curry's championship swagger may have rubbed off on Ward, as he won by a TKO in the ninth round.
