Every once in a while, Stephen Curry does something silly and reminds you he's human. One example: In the second quarter of the Golden State Warriors' game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, Curry stole the ball, went the other way and ... blew a wide-open dunk.

Watch:

Perhaps he was spooked by the footsteps behind him, even though they belonged to Jose Calderon. Perhaps he simply didn't get a good grip on the ball. It happens to the best of us, I guess.

The easy argument to make here is that Curry should have gone with a layup instead. That would certainly be the safer option, but personally, I love the four or five times a season that he surprises everybody with a dunk. I am not going to fault him for trying when there was nobody contesting him.
