Wizards rookie Otto Porter out of practice with hip flexor inujry
Wizards forward Otto Porter was hurt while playing in a pickup game; the injury isn't considered serious.
The Wizards cannot shake this bad luck.
Rookie forward Otto Porter is out indefinitely with a hip flexor injury sustained in a pick up game recently.

The good news is that it's "nothing major" according to Porter.
“It occurred recently, you know, just playing. Something just twist[ed],” Porter said of the injury. “But nothing major, though. I’m going to take it day by day, see how it feels.”
Wittman said the Wizards plan to be cautious with Porter and won’t rush him back on the court before he is ready. The injury “has been bothering him for a couple of weeks and he’s got to get himself well. He’s missing a lot of valuable time out here, in terms of what he’s been limited to. So I mean, we’ve got to be smart with it. We need to get him healthy as soon as we can.”
The problem of course is that the Wizards said John Wall would miss eight weeks to start last season and he didn't come back until January. There always seem to be complications with their injuries. They've had the injury bug for what feels like years now, but this one you just have to chalk up to a freak occurrence. Hopefully it doesn't keep Porter out too long. Finding out exactly what they have is a big piece of the Wizards' puzzle, and with injuries to Emeka Okafor and Chris Singleton (as well as Trevor Booker who was limited in practice with knee soreness), Washington is running out of front court depth.
