Sportsline's Analysis
It will be interesting to see what role Cabarkapa plays in his first year in Phoenix. The Suns fell in love with him during the workout process and may envision him as a potential replacement to oft-injured Tom Gugliotta. Zarko reminds many of Seattle's Vladimir Radmanovic, who has enjoyed success early in his career. (Tony Mejia)
Scouting Report
DOB: May 21, 1981. Versatile forward who can pose matchup problems in the NBA because of his quickness and guard-like ballhandling ability. Can play all three frontcourt positions, but likely projects at a forward spot in the NBA because of his size and ability when facing the basket. Great agility allows him to create his own shot. Can post up against smaller players, has a strong mid-range jumper up to 18 feet and a quick release. Able to penetrate, but prefers jumpers, put-backs and post moves. Unselfish player who has above-average court vision for his size. Was a member of the gold-medal-winning Yugoslav team at the 2002 FIBA World Championship, but was the 12th man and played sparingly. Has to put on some weight and work on his upper body strength to handle NBA players in the paint. Not an overpowering rebounder or shot blocker. Has the agility to become a good defender, but has to improve his anticipation and intensity. Teamed with fellow draft prospects Aleksander Pavlovic and Slavko Vranes on Buducnost. Has a chance to be selected late in the first round. (AP)
