SportsLine's Analysis
It's rare to see a young big man make his teammates better in the fashion Bogut does. The last person to do it as easily as he does was Tim Duncan, and while we're not insinuating he's going to be that caliber of player, it is fair to say that he thinks the game well beyond his years. He's got great hands and a solid outside game that only figures to improve. -- Tony Mejia

Whether he goes No. 1 or not, Bogut's the best bet to win Rookie of the Year because of his size, maturity and NBA-ready game. Bogut ought to be good for 15-and-10 from Day 1. He doesn't have the girth to defend monster centers like Shaquille O'Neal and ... Shaquille O'Neal, but Bogut has the skills to score against most of the big men he'll face. -- Gregg Doyel

Despite playing just two years for Utah, Bogut is ready for the leap to the pros. He's got a seven-foot frame with the ability to bury 3-pointers and play with his back to the basket. Barring a serious injury in the next few weeks, he's a lock to be a top-three pick and has the talent to average a double-double in his first year in the league. -- Matt Lawrence

Scouting Report
DOB: Nov. 28, 1984.

Scouting report: The most dominant big man of the 2004-05 college season, Bogut is expected to be taken with one of the top two picks. The 20-year-old Croatian, who was raised in Australia, has a fundamentally sound game and showed incredible improvement between his freshman and sophomore seasons. He averaged 20.4 points and 12.2 rebounds for the Utes last season while shooting 64 percent from the field. An intimidating presence in the blocks who already possesses NBA-level strength and conditioning, he is also a strong ball handler with good court vision. Has good footwork and isn't afraid to play physically down low. Can be equally effective with his post moves, including a drop step to both his left and right, or with the mid-range jumper. After showcasing his mental toughness and playing well against Tim Duncan during the Athens Olympics, Bogut has the potential to become one of the NBA's elite big men. (AP)
