Scouting Report
DOB: Feb. 21, 1984.
Scouting report: Withdrew from the 2004 draft when he wasn't guaranteed to be a first-round pick. Signed with an agent after leaving Michigan State that
season, so he couldn't return to college. The Slovenian native made a name for
himself during the Spartans' surprising run to the South Regional final in
2004, averaging 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in four NCAA tournament games. Was
just a part-time starter during the regular season as he played 15.7 minutes
per game, averaging 6.4 points and 3.3 boards while shooting 53 percent from
the field. Has a lot to learn and must build strength. Shows good touch with
mid-range jumpers, passes well in the high post, runs the floor well and is a
good finisher. Named MVP of the 2002 European Championships for Juniors,
averaging 21 points and 10.3 rebounds while leading Slovenia to a second-place
finish. Averaged 9.2 points and 4.9 rebounds for Climano Bologna of the
Euroleague this year. A likely second-round pick. (AP)
