Oilers' Milan Lucic: Nabs two power-play assists
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lucic assisted on two power-play goals during Thursday's 6-3 win against the Jets.

While it's impossible to compare him to Connor McDavid, Lucic has built himself a solid point streak, sitting at six straight after Thursday's solid performance. The 28-year-old has notched two goals and eight helpers in that span, furthering his appreciation of having McDavid by his side. The top line of the Oilers is lethal and has shown multiple players can explode for big outings simultaneously.

Oilers' Milan Lucic: Fine for Tuesday's contest
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Lucic wasn't available for morning skate Tuesday, but apparently nothing is wrong with him, so he's on track to play in the evening's contest against the Maple Leafs.

Lucic's absence for the skate may have sent countless fantasy owners into a frenzy, but the hard-hitting winger simply "had the morning off," according to head coach Todd McLellan. Lucic, working in his debut season with the Oilers, has accumulated 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 23 games while skating on the top line with all-world pivot Connor McDavid and (mostly recently) Jesse Puljujarvi, the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Oilers' Milan Lucic: Tallies lone goal in defeat
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Lucic deflected a shot from the point to register his seventh goal of the season against Arizona on Sunday.

Lucic is absolutely on fire of late, as he extends his point streak to four games, tallying seven points in those contests. After a six-game drought in mid-November, the winger appears to be back on track. In addition to his even-strength contributions, the 28-year-old has managed to snag two goals and four helpers with the man advantage while averaging 2:51 of power-play ice time per night and is certainly a fantasy option.

Oilers' Milan Lucic: Posts two-point night in win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Milan Lucic scored an empty-net goal and had an assist during Friday's game against the Canucks.

Lucic is off to a great start offensively -- four goals and three assists through eight games -- and has padded the peripheral statistics per usual. He has also seamlessly settled into his top-line gig flanking Connor McDavid, and the assignment should help Lucic avoid any lengthy scoring droughts. The 28-year-old veteran could have the best fantasy showing of his career riding shotgun with McDavid.

Oilers' Milan Lucic: Hits scoresheet with two helpers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lucic registered two assists during Friday's game against Calgary.

Despite Edmonton's seven goals in the season opener, Lucic failed to register a point, so his assists Friday were reassuring. He is skating with Connor McDavid in all situations, and Lucic could have his best offensive season since before the 2012-13 lockout. Add the uptick in scoring to his cross-category production, and Lucic is eyeing a bounce-back fantasy showing.
