Celtics' Al Horford: Turns in eight points in series finale
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Horford tallied eight points (4-8 FG), three rebounds and one assist over 27 minutes during Thursday's 135-102 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.

The veteran big man turned in his lowest point total of the series and scored in single digits for the first time since Game 2 of the first-round series versus the Bulls. The reduced output was essentially explained by the fact that Horford played just 27 minutes equaling his low-water mark in playing time during the postseason. The 30-year-old had an up-and-down first season in Boston and finished with averages of 14.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 blocks over 68 games. Notably, he shot a career-low 47.3 percent, while his scoring average was his lowest since his rookie 2007-08 campaign.

Celtics' Al Horford: Steady in Game 3 Win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Horford supplied 16 points (7-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt), six assists, twp rebounds and one steal across 36 minutes in Sunday's 111-108 Game 3 win in Cleveland.

Horford stat line should have included one extra trey, as he drained a key triple late in the fourth, but the refs incorrectly called it a two. This marks the second game of the playoffs where Big Al gathered only two boards, but his dimes, low turnovers (1) and solid defense made up for the lack of rebounds. Boston hopes to even the series on Tuesday night at Cleveland. Sunday's win guarantees the series will return to Boston for at least one more game.

Celtics' Al Horford: Scores 11 points in embarrassing Game 2 loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Horford recorded 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 27 minutes during a 130-86 loss to the Cavaliers on Friday.

Horford scored 11 points for the second consecutive game in the series as the team got embarrassed again in Game 2. Horford needs to be way more aggressive and effective on the offensive end for the team to have any chance to extend the series beyond four games. He can't play much worse than he has so far in the series, so expect a slightly better performance in Game 3.

Celtics' Al Horford: Steps up in Game 7 win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Horford efficiently posted 15 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one block across 40 minutes in Monday's 115-105 Game 7 win over Washington.

Overshadowed by Kelly Olynyk's surprising 26 points, Horford still played big in Game 7, bailing out the offense on a few seemingly lost possessions and dealing dimes from the elbow. Unfortunately, Horford's game is more valuable in the real world than in fantasy play. Big Al shot 67.6% from the field during this seven game series, draining 14 treys. He'll need to be even more efficient starting Wednesday night against the Cavs in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Celtics' Al Horford: Lethal from the field in Game 5
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Horford scored 19 points (8-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT) with seven assists, six rebounds and three blocks across 28 minutes in Wednesday's 123-101 Game 5 win over the Wizards.

In what has already been an lethal series from the field for Horford, he improved his efficiency further in Wednesday's blowout shooting 88.9% from the field to raise his average to a blistering 69.4 percent for the series. The Celtics' big man is now averaging 16.4 points in five games against the Wizards. Not only was Horford magnificent offensively, he also finished with a game-high in blocked shots. Judging by Horford's impressive stats in the series he clearly likes the matchup with the Wizards, and Washington has thus far done little do prove they are capable of stopping him.
