George traded to Toronto Raptors: Shawn Marion is headed to the Dallas Mavericks, Jerry Stackhouse is going to the Memphis Grizzlies and Hedo Turkoglu is going to Toronto Raptors in a complex deal involving four teams. The deal, announced Thursday, involves five other players, a draft pick and cash. Among the other pieces: Forward Kris Humphries and center Nathan Jawai are going from Toronto to Dallas; guard Greg Buckner is going from Memphis to Dallas; and swingmen Antoine Wright and Devean George are going from Dallas to Toronto. Memphis also is getting a second-round pick and cash from Toronto. Orlando is getting cash from Dallas and Toronto in exchange for dealing Turkoglu.

Fantasy Analysis

Wright could see decent minutes for the Raptors this season, depending on what the team does with Anthony Parker in the offseason. He'll likely be waiver wire fodder in most Fantasy leagues this season even if getting good minutes. George is a defensive specialist who will not be a Fantasy factor at all in Toronto.

G/F Devean George (right knee) had surgery on March 27 to remove loose fragments from a cartilage injury. He missed the rest of the season. He'll be ready for next season, although it might not be with the Mavs. 51/8/2009

The Raptors acquired George on Thursday in the trade that sent Shawn Marion to Dallas and brought Turkoglu in from Orlando.

George averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 43 games - 17 starts - for the Mavericks last season. It's unclear what role he'll play with the new-look Raptors.
