76ers Andrei Kirilenko considering retiring after season
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

76ers forward Andrei Kirilenko said that this year is "probably my last season."

In an interview with Eurohoops, he said, "I’m still thinking about next year, but for this moment, I feel like this is the last season. I don’t know yet. There’s a lot of years in front of me. Change my occupation. I’m not going to be a player anymore. I still think I’m going to be connected to the basketball, somehow."

Kirilenko has played in seven games this season, his 14th in the NBA.

CSKA Moscow signs Andrei Kirilenko for remainder of season
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

CSKA Moscow signed former NBA star Andrei Kirilenko for the remainder of the season, per the Russian club's official website. Kirilenko will be introduced in press conference on Tuesday.

Kirilenko has not played professionally since Nov. 13., and was suspended indefinitely without pay by the 76ers for his unwillingness to report to the team after being traded from Brooklyn. Philadelphia waived the forward on Saturday before he joined the Russian club.

"The time has come to think about ending my career at the professional level," Kirilenko said in a statement.

Sixers waive Andrei Kirilenko, could have many suitors
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com

The 76ers formally waived forward Andrei Kirilenko on Saturday. The 34-year-old forward never played a minute for the team.

Kirilenko was traded from the Nets in December, but because of a family issue never reported to the team. 76ers general manager Sam Hinike initially made a "handshake agreement" to release him after the two teams completed the trade, but according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Hinike backed out of his agreement.

Kirilenko has not played since Nov. 13. However, Kirilenko may sign with a new team quickly, according to Marc Stein of ESPN. Teams are still trying to figure out if Kirilenko still wants to play basketball, according to Stein.
