| Mavericks sever ties with Odom: Mavericks forward Lamar Odom and the Mavericks agreed to mutually part ways Monday, according to the Dallas Morning News. Odom, who averaged a career-low 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds, will leave the team without actually being released. The Mavericks plan to place him on the inactive list for the final nine regular-season games and the NBA playoffs since he could join another team if he were to be released. (Updated 04/09/2012) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| Since arriving in an offseason trade with the Lakers, Odom didn't seem to mesh in Dallas. Now, it will come to an end early. Odom, the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year, left the team earlier in the season for personal reasons before returning. The Mavericks have clearly been frustrated with Odom's situation throughout the season and coach Rick Carlisle voiced his displeasure prior to the All-Star break. Odom has also averaged a career-low 20.5 minutes per game. He should not be utilized in any Fantasy formats the remainder of the season. (Updated 04/09/2012). |
