Heat's Goran Dragic: Scores 24 points in 42 minutes
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dragic finished with 24 points (9-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 42 minutes during the Heat's 98-86 loss to the Clippers on Sunday.

Dragic has been putting up solid numbers over the last four contests, posting 20.8 points (on 49.2 percent shooting) and 6.0 assists in 33 minutes per game. The 30-year-old guard has received 40 minutes or more four times this season, and he has been the driving force of the team's production on offense.

Heat's Goran Dragic: Puts up 24 points, nine dimes in return
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dragic (back) turned in 24 points (9-18 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine assists, three rebounds and two steals across 38 minutes in a 99-90 loss to the Suns on Tuesday.

Back spasms had resulted in Dragic missing three of the previous four games, but the time off seemed to do the veteran point guard some good. While coach Erik Spoelstra may have preferred to ease Dragic back into the fold, the absence of top backup Tyler Johnson (migraine) -- along with six other players -- forced the 30-year-old to play major minutes right off the bat in his return. Assuming Dragic experiences no recurring issues with his back heading into Wednesday's game against the Kings, he should be in line for another significant workload with the Heat expected to be missing several players once again.

Heat's Goran Dragic: Will play Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dragic (back) will play in Tuesday's matchup against the Suns.

Dragic was expected to play in this contest, so this news is unsurprising. The point guard has missed three of the last four games with a back injury. Barring any setbacks, he figures to be in line for as many minutes as he can handle, as the Heat are currently dealing with a plethora of injuries.

Heat's Goran Dragic: Goes through shootaround, expects to play Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Dragic (back) went through shootaround and intends to play Tuesday against the Suns.

Dragic was able to make it through the entire session without issue, and told reporters he'll warm up prior to Tuesday's game with the expectation of playing. Of course, that's not a guarantee that he'll take the floor, but all signs point to Dragic making his return after missing the last three of the last four contests. Even if Dragic suits up, the Heat could have as few as nine players available Monday, so look for coach Erik Spoelstra to give Dragic all the minutes he can handle.

Heat's Goran Dragic: Expects to make return Tuesday vs. Suns
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dragic (back) said he expects to return to action Tuesday against the Suns, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.

Dragic will be sidelined for a second straight game Sunday against the Mavericks while recovering from back spasms, but he noted prior to the contest that his condition has improved upon resting up the last two days. The point guard was able to lift weights Sunday, and should increase his activity Monday before the Heat reevaluate him for the matchup with his former team. Dragic's eventual return will likely translate to reduced minutes for Wayne Ellington and Rodney McGruder.
