Love also added seven rebounds, but he is still trying to find a rhythm in the offense. For the season, he has recorded six double-doubles. The Cavaliers next play Monday against Orlando.
Love, however, will be the first to admit he is still adjusting to new his surroundings, according to Cleveland.com.
"I'm just trying to find myself in this offense," Love said. "It's just one of those things. We're 10 games in. I think everyone knew coming in that we would have to sacrifice. At some point we are going to need some low-post scoring and outside shooting."
Love does have a double-double in six of 10 games. Although, his offensive game still needs a little work since his shooting percentage is at 38.9 percent, which is well below his career average (45 percent).
"I haven't really said much. I'm just trying to be a part of this team as best I can to help us win," he said. "As far as getting into a rhythm it has been tough."
Love recorded double-doubles in his first three games but had been held under 10 rebounds in each of his last three before coming through with a big night on the boards Friday. His 20 percent success rate from the field matched his worst shooting performance of the season. Love also had four assists and one block in 37 minutes in the win. He's set to face the Hawks Saturday.
Love was probable heading into the game due to a rib injury, but that didn't seem to bother him. Love played 38 minutes, shooting six of 14 from the field. He was able to hit three shots beyond the arc, and made all four of his free throws. Love also hauled in 14 rebounds and dished out four assists. He finished with 19 points.
