Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Incredible in season-ending defeat
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Westbrook scored 47 points (15-34 FG, 5-18 3Pt, 12-17 FT) and added 11 rebounds and nine assists in 42 minutes during Tuesday's 105-99 loss to the Rockets in Game 5.

Westbrook closed his record-setting season with another box score that would look like a typo next to anyone else's name. It's hard to imagine Westbrook will be able to recreate his unprecedented 2016-17 production next season. The Thunder will have an entire offseason to build around him - most of the current team was structured around the combination of Westbrook and Durant. Offseason personnel moves may help the Thunder, but they will probably lead to Westbrook carrying a smaller load.

Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Yet another triple-double in Game 4 loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Westbrook went for 35 points (10-28 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 12-13 FT), 14 rebounds, 14 assists, three steals, and one block in 39 minutes during Sunday's 113-109 loss to the Rockets in Game 4.

Westbrook had a triple-double in the first half alone, but his individual effort wasn't enough to help the Thunder even the series. Westbrook has gone for three straight triple-doubles now, and he is currently leading the league in points, assists, and steals per game (while being second in boards) during the playoffs.

Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Triple-doubles in Game 3 win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Westbrook totaled 32 points (11-24 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 10-14 FT), 13 rebounds, 11 assists and three steals across 39 minutes during a 115-113 win over the Rockets on Friday.

Westbrook snagged his second consecutive triple-double, and was much more efficient this time. His field goal percentage of 45.8 percent was by far his best of the series so far. He took a noticeable step away from the three-point hoists in Game 3. After going a combined 5-of-22 from three-point range in the first two games of the series, Westbrook attempted only one three-pointer in Game 3.

Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Falls in monstrous Game 2 performance
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Westbrook recorded 51 points (17-43 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 15-18 FT), 13 assists, 10 rebounds, four steals and one block across 41 minutes in Wednesday's 115-111 Game 2 loss to the Rockets.

Westbrook was inefficient in Game 1, but a little better in Game 2 as he shot roughly 40 percent on the night. He had a bit more help from his teammates Wednesday night yet the Thunder still find themselves down 2-0 in the series. Westbrook will have to find his shot from downtown (23 percent from three in the series) and limit the turnovers if the Thunder have any hope coming back down two games to James Harden's Rockets.

Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Struggles with shot in Game 1 loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Westbrook finished with 22 points (6-23 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 11 rebounds, 7 assists and two steals over 34 minutes of action during Sunday's 118-87 loss to the Rockets in Game 1.

Westbrook struggled with his shot from the jump, knocking down a putrid 26 percent of his field goal attempts and committing nine turnovers amid additional defensive attention from the Rockets. He received little help from his supporting cast, as Andre Roberson was the only other player to score more than 10 points in the lopsided loss. Westbrook will seemingly face a monumental task as he tries to will his team to victory this series and will need to be at his best if they are to stand a chance -- especially if those around him continue to underachieve.
