Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Two points for Team Europe in win over Czechs
by RotoWire Staff | Special to

Zuccarello stuffed the stat sheet for Team Europe in Monday's 3-2 overtime victory over the Czech Republic at the World Cup of Hockey, picking up a goal, an assist, three shots and a plus-2 rating.

Zuccarello scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period before drawing the lone helper on Leon Draisaitl's game-winner 2:06 into overtime. Rangers fans are used to seeing the diminutive Norwegian winger's playmaking ability on display after he scored 26 goals with 35 assists for the Blueshirts last season. He'll look to build on those totals in the upcoming NHL campaign as a key cog in New York's offense.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Coming off career year
by RotoWire Staff | Special to

Zuccarello set career highs in goals (26), points (61), average ice time (18:29) and games played (81) in the 2015-16 campaign.

The electric Norwegian was often the driver of the Blueshirts' offense, but he -- like many of his teammates -- went quiet in the playoffs against Pittsburgh, recording just two points in five games. Nonetheless, he's poised to remain a big part of the Rangers' offensive mix for the next several years, as he has three seasons left on the relatively team-friendly contract extension he signed in March 2015.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Missing season finale
by RotoWire Staff | Special to

Zuccarello (lower body) will not play Saturday against Detroit, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

This news means that the fan favorite will finish the season with already career-best marks of 26 goals and 61 points. Rangers fans need not worry, though, head coach Alain Vigneault confirmed that Zuccarello would be ready for the first game of the postseason.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Reaches 60 points for first time
by RotoWire Staff | Special to

Zuccarello assisted on a pair of Derek Stepan goals -- one on the power play -- and went plus-1 with four shots against the Lightning on Tuesday.

Always an expert at finding his teammates in open ice, Zuccarello did just that with Stepan, twice, and the centerman made the Bolts pay. With that, the Norwegian Hobbit Wizard has pushed his way past 60 points for the first time in his career. He's ending the regular season right, having picked up eight points in his last eight games, showing off those playmaking skills that the Rangers will count on him to continue displaying in the playoffs.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Records two points Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to

Zuccarello scored his 24th goal of the season and added an assist while seeing a team-high 5:56 of ice time on the power play in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the Bruins.

Zuccarello has power-play goals in back to back games, as the diminutive forward continues to dazzle with the man advantage. He has set a new career high for goals in a season is just three short of matching his career-high 59 points.
