Miller deal complete and official: The trade that brings the Minnesota Timberwolves the No. 5 overall pick in Thursday's draft has been completed. The Timberwolves and Washington on Wednesday struck a deal that gives Minnesota its fourth first-round draft choice, along with Wizards forwards Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila and Oleksiy Pecherov. The Wizards receive guards Randy Foye and Mike Miller. The teams first agreed to the deal on Tuesday night. Minnesota now has the fifth, sixth, 18th and 28th selections in the draft.

Fantasy Analysis

Viewed as one of the best perimeter shooters in the game, Miller played a far more passive game in his only season with the Wolves. He averaged a career-low 9.9 points per game. That could change in Washington, but his role would become even bigger should the team move Caron Butler at some point. Miller has some real sleeper value in Fantasy drafts this fall.

G Mike Miller, acquired from Minnesota along with Randy Foye, has proven to be a lethal shooter who should help spread the floor for his teammates in a role off the bench. Foye is a good defender whom the Wizards envision playing both guard positions alongside Gilbert Arenas, whom he will likely start alongside if Arenas is healthy. The cost was minimal for the Wizards. They were finally able to move the contract of unproductive center Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila, who never lived up to his $23 million contract, and Oleksiy Pecherov, a one-time first-round pick who has given no indication that he even belongs in the league since the Wizards made him the No. 18 pick in the 2006 draft. 62/6/2009

Playing more aggressively than he has in months, Mike Miller had 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to help the Minnesota Timberwolves snap a seven-game losing streak with a 108-99 victory over the fading New Jersey Nets on Sunday.

Flip Murray scored a season-best 30 points, and Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson each added 20 as the Atlanta Hawks won their season-high eighth straight home game, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-97 on Monday night.
