Although he suffered a broken hand in Thursday's loss to the Warriors, the
Wolters said he was injured earlier in the game and actually played several minutes with a broken hand before the throbbing pain forced him back to the locker room for an X-ray.
"I just got hit," Wolters said, per the paper. "Hopefully I can get back on the court as soon as possible. We'll just see what happens."
Wolters started in 31 games, appearing in 58 games. He averaged just 7.2 points, 3.4 assists and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 43.7 percent from the floor per contest. The Bucks have 13 games left this season, which gives Wolters a small timeframe for a return, depending on the severity of the fracture.
Wolters played just 10 minutes before getting hurt, contributing with two points, one rebound and one assist. He started in 31 games, appearing in 58 games. He averaged just 7.2 points, 3.4 assists and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 43.7 percent from the floor per contest.
Wolters scored in double figures for just the second time in five games, and he put up 14 points in 31 minutes, his best total since Feb. 18. He shot 5 of 6 from the field and made two 3-pointers, while adding three rebounds and three assists go go along with two turnovers.
Wolters struggled with his shot early in his rookie season, but has sorted out his issues recently. He shot 44.8 percent in the month of February and is already up to 54.9 percent while averaging 10.8 points per game in six March contests.
Wolters played only 15 minutes of game action, also adding two assists, one rebound and one steal. He is averaging 9.4 points, 4.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds over his last five games.
