Suns' Tyson Chandler: Shut down for season
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler (coach's decision) isn't expected to play again over the rest of the season, Doug Haller of The Arizona Republic reports.

Despite playing without six other players due to injury in Sunday's loss to the Pistons, Chandler wasn't included in the Suns' rotation, which has been the case since the All-Star break. With the Suns well removed from playoff contention and content to evaluate their younger centers over the final three weeks of the season, Chandler doesn't really have a place in the team's plans. Considering that he has two years remaining on his contract after this season, Chandler may still open the 2017 campaign as the team's starting center if the Suns aren't able to trade him away in the summer.

Suns' Tyson Chandler: Not expected to rejoin rotation
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler is not expected to rejoin the rotation moving forward, Doug Haller of the Arizona Republic reports. In regards to bringing both Chandler and Brandon Knight into the regular rotation, coach Earl Watson said, "I'm not changing it unless management changes it."

Chandler hasn't seen the court in each of the last six games and that's not expected to change as the season winds down, as coach Earl Watson seems set on giving his younger guys as much action as possible. As long as an injury doesn't occur higher up on the depth chart, Chandler can continue to be avoided in fantasy leagues, considering Alex Len and Alan Williams should get the bulk of the workload at the center position moving forward.

Suns' Tyson Chandler: Falls out of rotation for second straight game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler (coach's decision) failed to see the floor in a 100-96 loss to the Bucks on Sunday.

After the Suns failed to trade Chandler at the deadline last week, he was dropped from the starting lineup in favor of Alex Len and has since been cast out of the rotation for the last two games. With the 18-41 Suns sitting in last place in the Western Conference standings, the team has little reason to give the 34-year-old minutes, so it wouldn't be surprising if Chandler remains third on the depth chart at center behind newly-appointed starter Alex Len and second-year backup Alan Williams. Chandler might be worth holding a little longer in deeper leagues in the event coach Earl Watson reverses course and brings the veteran back into the rotation, but those in shallow leagues can probably cut bait with Chandler without much hesitation.

Suns' Tyson Chandler: Will come off bench Friday vs. Bulls
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler will take on a reserve role for Friday's game against the Bulls, Doug Haller of The Arizona Republic reports.

With the Suns trading away P.J. Tucker to the Raptors and starting Alex Len over Chandler, it appears that the team is trending towards a more youthful starting five. It remains to be seen whether or not this is a permanent decision, but the situation is definitely worth monitoring for fantasy purposes, as Chandler's value could start dropping quickly.

Suns' Tyson Chandler: Will start at center Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler (ankle) will start at center for Monday's game against the Pelicans, Craig Grialou of The Arizona Republic reports.

After exiting Friday's game against the Bulls with a sprained ankle, Chandler was subsequently held out of Saturday's tilt with the Rockets. However, with a few additional days off for rest, Chandler is feeling much better and will take the court after being cleared by team doctors following pregame warmups. Chandler should take on his normal role as the team's starting center, which means Alex Len and Alan Williams should both see a drop in value moving forward.
