Rush to see a quick boost?: The Los Angeles Times reports that Eric Gordon is suffering from a sore left groin, making him doubtful for Monday night's game against the New Orleans Hornets. Gordon didn't suffer a specific acute injury but experienced discomfort and soreness during the fourth quarter of Saturday night's victory over Memphis. If Gordon can't play, the Clippers could move Rasual Butler from small forward to shooting guard. Other potential fill-ins include swingman Ricky Davis and guard Kareem Rush.

Fantasy Analysis

The Clippers didn't have a full-scale practice Sunday, when they mostly watched game film. The report adds Gordon was rechecked in the morning and the decision was made to rest him. He is considered day to day, but Fantasy owners now have to consider him at least a mild injury risk for the team's upcoming four-game week. It sounds like three games is a best-case scenario for Gordon in Fantasy Week 3 (Nov. 9-15). Butler could be worth taking a flier on in larger leagues this week. Davis and Rush are not recommended fill ins.
