Deng to have leg checked again: The Chicago Daily Herald reports Bulls forward Luol Deng will have another MRI next week to check the status of his stress fracture. Deng had not been active for the Bulls since late February after averaging 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game this season. He missed the entire first-round playoff series against Boston and will be questionable to start the year in 2009-10.

Fantasy Analysis

Keep an eye on what happens with Deng, but it's safe to release him in all keeper leagues. On top of the injury, the Bulls are loaded at the swing spots with John Salmons and if Ben Gordon returns as a free agent. When healthy, consider Deng a No. 4 Fantasy option coming into the year. He has a long way to go to prove to Fantasy owners he can be a reliable option again, especially with Salmons now on the team.

F Luol Deng has been at the Berto Center slowly increasing his activity. He missed the last 22 games of the regular season, plus the playoffs, due to a stress fracture in his right tibia. There is a good chance Deng will recover without surgery. 62/6/2009
