Clippers' Brandon Bass: Signs with Clippers
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Bass signed a one-year, $1.55 million contract with the Clippers on Saturday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

With the signing of Bass, the Clippers continue to boost their frontcourt depth after drafting Brice Johnson, re-signing Luc Mbah a Moute and picking up Marreese Speights off the free agent market. However, with the newly-acquired depth, it could put Bass in timeshare, which would hurt his overall fantasy value. Bass averaged just over 20 minutes with the Lakers this past season -- his lowest over the last five seasons -- but will likely find even more competition on a playoff caliber Clippers' team.

Lakers' Brandon Bass: To decline player option
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Bass will decline his player option to remain with the Lakers for the 2016-17 season, Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Bass can opt in for just over $3 million next season, but after a frustrating season with a poor Lakers team, the veteran will hit the open market and likely pursue a multi-year deal with a contending squad. With the salary cap set to expand, Bass, who's still only 30 years old, should be able to land a more lucrative contract, despite failing to start a game in 2015-16 for the first time since 2008-09. Bass closed the season with averages of 7.2 points on 54.9 percent shooting from the field to go with 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 20.3 minutes.

Lakers' Brandon Bass: Healthy scratch Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Bass (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in Sunday's 107-100 loss to the Celtics. Coach Byron Scott said after the game that he plans to sit Bass and fellow veteran Lou Williams over the final six games, Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times reports.

With Bass likely to pursue free agency in the offseason, the Lakers are looking to get an early head start on assessing some of their other younger frontcourt options for 2016-17. Bass, who has excelled in a reserve role this season to the tune of 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game on 54.9 percent shooting over 66 appearances, will likely aim to land with a contender this summer.

Lakers' Brandon Bass: Scores 18 points, grabs six rebounds Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Brandon Bass had 18 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, two steals, and one assist in 27 minutes during the Los Angeles Lakers ' 107-100 win against the Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Bass has scored 10 points or more in his last four appearances, and in seven of the last eight. His fantasy appeal is still limited to deeper leagues, but Bass is enjoying his best month of 2015-16. Through nine contests in March, he is averaging 11.1 points on 58 percent from the field to go with 5.3 rebounds, one assist, one block, and 0.4 steals in 25 minutes per appearance.

Lakers' Brandon Bass: Expected to play Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Brandon Bass (eye) is expected to play Friday against the Suns, TWC Sports Net's Mike Trudell reports.

Bass was held out of Tuesday's game against the Kings due to a corneal abrasion on his right eye, but he was able to practice Wednesday and Thursday and is now likely to suit up against Phoenix. Even if Bass is able to give it a go Friday, it should still be expected that Julius Randle and Larry Nance will see most of the minutes at power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers .
