Bowen dealt to Milwaukee: Milwaukee sent swingman Richard Jefferson to San Antonio on Tuesday for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto, taking three aging bench players with expiring contracts to unload Jefferson and the $29.2 million owed in the final two years of his contract. "His age helps us transition our team into a new era," Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said.

Fantasy Analysis

Bowen, Thomas and Oberto are a part of the deal only because they all have contracts that expire after next season. The move was purely financial for the Bucks and Fantasy owners should not expect any of the three to start for Milwaukee next season. Bowen could see the most playing time of the three, but he is a defensive specialist who is not worth starting in Fantasy leagues. We don't recommend drafting any of these players in Fantasy.

The vagabond arrived in South Texas in 2001 after stints in France, in the minor leagues, and with the Miami, Boston and Philadelphia."This is home for us, and we've said this time and time before," Bowen said. The trade to Milwaukee for Richard Jefferson didn't catch Bowen by surprise. And even though heard the rumors, the reality was tough. "I don't think there's any way you can prepare for it until it actually happens," he said. "You're aware it can take place. Being that it is a business, it's hard to take out the personal feelings when you've been somewhere so long." 62/6/2009
