Wizards' Arenas, Jamison held out of scrimmage

RICHMOND, Va. -- Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison sat out the Washington Wizards' intrasquad scrimmage Saturday, but both are expected to play in the team's exhibition opener next week.

Arenas, who had season-ending left knee surgery in April, was held out for what the team called precautionary reasons.

Jamison bruised his right shin in practice Thursday, then tweaked his right ankle Friday.

Washington's first preseason game is Tuesday at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
