To say it has been an unconventional week in Power Rankings land would be a massive understatement. Despite the All-Star break cutting the on-floor action short, the NBA's movers and shakers have made a drastic impact with their off-court action.

Even teams that have already made their most drastic changes have to wait on their injured parties as they navigate the regular season's final two months. The Celtics and Spurs have had the luxury of resting Kevin Garnett (abdominal strain) and Tony Parker (bone spurs) until they get back to 100 percent, but Kobe Bryant (pinkie) can't afford to take that route with his Lakers already missing Andrew Bynum (knee) and still only three games out of missing the postseason altogether.
Considering these Power Rankings offer a barometer of how teams are playing and look to project progression, this week's edition features considerable movement despite the fact little has changed in the standings since last week's version.
Following is the CBSSports.com view of how teams are slotted out of the gate for the unofficial start of the regular season's second half, where with roughly 30 games remaining, every single contest will see an increase in intensity and importance.
