Roundup: Dunleavy ties career high in points, Pacers defeat Bucks

Presented by Epson

INDIANAPOLIS -- Mike Dunleavy tied his career high of 36 points for the second straight game, and the Indiana Pacers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 128-106 Sunday for their second straight win.

It was Dunleavy's third 30-point game in his last six contests, and the third time he has scored 36 points this season. He had just tied the career high Friday at Toronto.

Danny Granger had 27 points and nine rebounds. He returned to the starting lineup after being suspended a game for striking Chicago's Andres Nocioni in the face on Wednesday.

Travis Diener had 15 points and Jeff Foster had 16 rebounds for the Pacers, who set a scoring high for the season.

Michael Redd led Milwaukee with 28 points. Desmond Mason and Mo Williams each added 15 in the Bucks' third straight loss. Milwaukee forward Yi Jianlian left with a sprained left ankle with 10:44 to play and did not return.

Pacers forward Shawne Williams was inactive for the second straight game. He left the team for personal reasons Wednesday when he learned acquaintance Gary Bohanon of Memphis, Tenn. was arrested for murder after leaving Williams' Indianapolis home driving a truck registered to Williams. Full story

Wizards 101, Hornets 84

WASHINGTON -- The Washington Wizards can indeed adjust to life without Caron Butler, and they have a sweep of the New Orleans Hornets to prove it.

Antawn Jamison had 28 points and nine rebounds and led the decisive fourth-quarter run, and the Wizards beat the Hornets for their fourth win in five games and their second over the Hornets in a week.

Leading 80-79 with 6:40 to play, the Wizards blew the game apart with a 19-0 run. Jamison started it with two free throws and a 3-pointer, then his block of Peja Stojakovic's layup led to a 3-pointer by DeShawn Stevenson that pushed the lead to nine. The Hornets didn't score again until a 3-pointer by Rasual Butler in the final minute.

Stojakovic scored 17 points and Chris Paul had 16 to lead the Hornets, who had won two straight since a 95-92 home loss to Washington last Monday. That game was decided by Stevenson's game-winning 3-pointer, capping a career-high 33 points.

SuperSonics 111, Timberwolves 108 (OT)

MINNEAPOLIS -- Kevin Durant scored 25 points, Chris Wilcox added 18 points and 15 rebounds, and the Seattle SuperSonics snapped their four-game losing streak by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Earl Watson had 15 points and Nick Collison 14 for Seattle, which opened its seven-game road trip in dramatic fashion against the worst team in the Western Conference.

Watson hit a key 3-pointer with 1:15 to play to give Seattle a 109-104 lead. Randy Foye answered with a jumper, but Al Jefferson missed two free throws with 35 seconds left. Foye added another layup and Durant iced the win with two more free throws.

Rashad McCants and Foye both missed 3s in the final seconds.

Kings 120, Heat 109

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Ron Artest scored 32 points, Kevin Martin added 29 and the Sacramento Kings overcame a 21-point deficit in the second half to beat the Miami Heat.

The victory was sweet revenge for Sacramento, which lost by 21 points last week in Miami when the Heat snapped an 11-game losing streak with their most lopsided victory of the season. Sunday's victory also broke an eight-game win streak in the series by the Heat, who hadn't lost to the Kings since Jan. 13, 2004.

Dwyane Wade had 26 points and seven assists for Miami, which beat Seattle on Friday night and was seeking only its second win streak all season. Shawn Marion had 19 points and eight rebounds, Jason Williams added 18 points and eight assists, while Ricky Davis scored 14 points.

Beno Udrih had 23 points and nine assists for Sacramento, which has won eight of nine games at home. Brad Miller had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. John Salmons made two 3-pointers late in the game and scored eight points.
