Roundup: Pacers sink Sonics to end three-game funk

INDIANAPOLIS -- Mike Dunleavy scored 32 points and the Indiana Pacers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 114-107 victory over Seattle on Tuesday night that also sent the SuperSonics to their fifth straight loss.

Danny Granger added 23 points, Troy Murphy had 19 points and nine rebounds and Travis Diener had 11 points and nine assists for the Pacers.

Kevin Durant scored 27 points and reserve Nick Collison added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Sonics.

Dunleavy left the game with 4:06 left in the third quarter after being elbowed in the face by Seattle's Jeff Green. He returned moments later and scored seven points the rest of the period to give the Pacers a spark.

Durant hit a 3-pointer in the closing seconds of the third quarter, but Indiana led 86-82.

The Pacers led 90-87 early in the fourth quarter before going on a 6-0 run that included baskets by Dunleavy, Flip Murray and Kareem Rush to take a 96-87 lead with 8:10 to play. The Pacers weren't threatened from there.

Dunleavy shot 10-for-16 from the field and made four of five 3-pointers. He has scored 30 or more points in four of his past 10 games. Full story

Trail Blazers 103, Timberwolves 96

MINNEAPOLIS -- Brandon Roy continues to haunt the Minnesota Timberwolves and keep Portland's dimming playoff hopes alive.

Roy had 27 points and nine assists, playing biggest during a game-deciding 12-2 run in the fourth quarter to lift Portland to a victory.

The Timberwolves drafted Roy in the first round two years ago, but traded him to the Blazers for Randy Foye and cash on draft night. Foye missed the first half of this season with a knee injury, and Roy was Rookie of the Year last year and has been even better in his second season.

Al Jefferson scored 12 of his 20 points in the fourth and Rashad McCants had 18 off the bench for the Timberwolves, who hovered around 55 percent shooting for most of the game but couldn't come up with the big shot down the stretch.
