The New York Daily News reported Thursday that Isiah Thomas was informed last week that he will not return as the head coach of the New York Knicks after two seasons.
New team president Donnie Walsh could announce the decision as early as Thursday. It is unknown if Thomas will remain with the Knicks in some lower capacity.
Thomas was 56-108 in two years as New York's coach.
