Dallas Mavericks vs. Memphis Grizzlies preview

Nov. 21--Scouting the Grizzlies

They are coming off a win over Sacramento at home but have been sickly on the road, going 1-5. The win against the Kings ended a four-game losing streak. ... Former South Oak Cliff standout Darrell Arthur has become entrenched as a starter and ranks in the top five among NBA rookies in rebounds (6.5), blocks (1.45) and steals (1.27). He's the only rookie averaging more than a block and a steal per game. He has a pair of double-doubles. ... The Grizzlies are painfully young but have a rising star in Rudy Gay (20.5 points per game).

Scouting the Mavericks

They have won 11 in a row against the Grizzlies, the longest active winning streak of any team against Memphis. Overall, the Grizzlies franchise is 7-44 against the Mavs. ... Last season, however, the Mavericks won by only three in Memphis' first visit to AAC, surviving when Juan Carlos Navarro missed a 3-pointer. ... Josh Howard is day-to-day with a left ankle injury. Last season, he was a workhorse against the Grizzlies, scoring 27 points in one win and 26 in another.
