ORLANDO, Fla. -- Dwight Howard had a season-high 32 points, 21 rebounds and four blocks, and Rashard Lewis added 24 points to help the Orlando Magic beat the Indiana Pacers 110-96 on Saturday night.
Hedo Turkoglu added 22 points, and Anthony Johnson had a season-high 16. The Magic have won four in a row and nine of their last 10.
Danny Granger had 27 points, and Marquis Daniels added 21 for Indiana.
Lewis and Turkoglu and Johnson combined for 11-of-20 shooting from 3-point range. and the Magic were 12-of-26 overall.
The Magic blew it open in the middle of the third quarter with a 12-5 run fueled by Lewis. The 6-foot-10 forward, who has been struggling with his shooting all season, had 10 points during the run, including a 3-pointer that made it 81-59 with 2:54 left in the period.
The Pacers rallied behind Granger, scoring the first eight points of the fourth quarter to cut it to 87-75, but Howard came off the bench after a short rest and hammered home a dunk while getting fouled. He made the free throw to give Orlando a 15-point advantage with 10 minutes left.
The Pacers cut the margin to eight three times, but couldn't get any closer. T.J. Ford's layup that made it 100-92 with 4:27 left was the last time the Pacers had the deficit under 10 points. Full story
Hawks 102, Wizards 98
WASHINGTON -- Al Horford's three-point play with 12.4 seconds remaining broke a tie in the Atlanta Hawks' victory over the Washington Wizards.
Washington's Caron Butler hit a 3-pointer with 1:10 to play to tie it at 98 after Atlanta had a 17-point lead early in the third quarter.
Darius Songaila's turnover with 31.8 seconds left gave the ball to Atlanta. Mike Bibby, who led Atlanta with 21 points, fed Horford for a layup, and he was fouled by Butler. Horford, who had 19 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, hit the free throw for a 101-98 lead.
DeShawn Stevenson was fouled by Bibby with 6.9 seconds to play, but he missed both free throws. Maurice Evans hit one of two free throws with 5.7 seconds to play to complete the scoring.
Nuggets 106, Timberwolves 97
MINNEAPOLIS -- Chauncey Billups scored a season-high 27 points in three quarters, Carmelo Anthony added 25 points and 10 rebounds, and the Denver Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Linas Kleiza added 15 points, and Anthony Carter had 12 for Denver. The Nuggets have beaten Minnesota seven straight times and 12 of 15.
Randy Foye scored a season-high 25 points to lead Minnesota. Al Jefferson had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Kevin Love had his first career double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
After beating Oklahoma City on the road Friday night, the Timberwolves missed a chance to win consecutive games for the first time this season.
Nets 105, Jazz 88
SALT LAKE CITY -- Devin Harris scored 34 points, and Vince Carter added 22 points to help the New Jersey Nets beat the Utah Jazz.
The Nets shot 52 percent (40-for-77) and forced the Jazz into 19 turnovers while improving to 2-1 on a four-game road trip.
Yi Jianlian added 11 points, and Bobby Simmons had 10 for New Jersey.
Mehmet Okur had 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Paul Millsap added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz. Deron Williams had 10 points and 13 assists, but Utah couldn't overcome poor shooting in the second half and fell to 8-2 at home.
