Nets notes

Boone relieved

The MRI on Josh Boone's left ankle was negative, which is apositive.

"I still can't do much for the next couple of days," Boone said."But it's very good news that the MRI is negative."

There's no structural damage, but the third-year center missedhis 10th straight game Tuesday because of a bone bruise. The plan isto increase his rehab, but Boone likely won't play this week. Boonehopes he can return Dec. 10 against the Knicks.

Modest on milestones

Lawrence Frank earned his 200th win as Nets coach Sunday inPhoenix and Devin Harris won his first player of the week award onMonday. Neither man seemed to care.

"It just means that we had a good road trip," Harris said of theNets' 3-1 trip west during which he averaged 30 points and 6.8assists.

Frank, the team's NBA victories leader, joined Kevin Loughery, who won 168 games in the ABA, as the only Nets' coaches with 200wins. Did it mean anything to Frank?

"No," the Teaneck native said. "Nothing."

Spinning success

Vince Carter likes Harris' reverse spin move, but doesn't want tosteal it.

"No, it's a special gift that he has," Carter said. "You can geta headache and get dizzy off of doing that stuff. I'll let him havethat move. It's hard to guard. It's hard to do as well."

Briefs Eduardo Najera, who didn't travel west because of a back injury,is doing cardio and hopes to go "full speed" by the end of week.Najera likely won't return before next week. ... The Nets' 9-7record heading into December marked the first time since 2002 theyhad a winning record on Nov. 30.
